Hello armin.huebner@t-online.de

FWIW, I just got in an A4000 Power Tower conversion with an IDE
CD-ROM. It shipped with OS 3.1. I reinstalled everyting from scratch
and put OS 3.5 with the CacheCDFS file system. The 40x CD-ROM drive
would not always come up on a cold boot.

(I was using the Cache CDFS for making the Emergency Disk. When I
first got 3.5, I ran out of diskspace on my first try at making the
disk.)

However, since I have AsimCDFS, I installed it and I have not had that
problem anymore. Perhaps this is due to it mounting the drive in the
User-Startup? (Later on in the bootup then where most of the devices
are mounted.)
